WTF Photos From The Past
Looking at these images made me realize that human nature has always been dark and twisted, it is not the aftermath of modern way of living. I only wonder what would it all look a like if there was internet then and people had an opportunity to exchange this sort of bizarre photos. Maube it’s better not to know what could all come out from the dark.

The 15th from the top is from an old Doctor Who episode. The girl is Zoe Heriot, one of the Second Doctor’s assistants. The robots are Cybermen. Wiki it!
That one in the hat is my mother.
The one with the two robots and the little girl is from the original Doctor Who!

FYI the photo of the women in the crazy outfits with math symbols is a picture of women from Vassar College, from their performance from a math class–possibly a “math nightmare.” I recognized this image immediately from a page on Mt Holyoke’s site with all old Vassar photos. This photo is 3rd from the bottom.

Some of these are really great, but one observation – photography was developed coincident with the industrial revolution and the amazing proliferation of technology in the 19th century that directly led to our world today. In an historical sense that encompasses the true expanse of human history, these pictures *are* of the modern world. And I’d be willing to bet that folks who really lived in a different world, the pre-industrial world, were still an awful lot like us in their darkness and absurdity.
The one with the girl and the guys in robot suits is from Doctor Who. They’re cybermen (wiki it), with the head handles being the distinct give-away.
Just realizing now that someone had already pointed this out (hadn’t even noticed the post, yet we both used the term ‘wiki it’. Isn’t that peculiar?)
